The ‘Percy Jackson 3’ film will not be made, and author Rick Riordan is overjoyed. A Percy Jackson 3 film based on the events of The Titan’s Curse novel is not in the works and will never be. However, Disney+ is reviving the complete series with Rick Riordan as the author.
Percy Jackson & the Olympians is a two-film adaptation of Rick Riordan’s novel series of the same name. The series was produced by 1492 Pictures and distributed by 20th Century Fox in two installments.
Chris Columbus directed the first film, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), which was released on February 12, 2010. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, the second installment, was initially set to be released in March 2013 but was moved back to August 7, 2013, and was filmed by Thor Freudenthal.
Despite the fact that the film series was supposed to correspond to the five novel book series, and the second picture lay the groundwork for a third, no additional films were made. At the global movie office, the reduced series has grossed roughly $430 million.
The films follow the exploits of demigod Percy Jackson and his companions at Camp Half-Blood, a demigod training center. Percy must save his mother from the underworld and establish his innocence after he is accused of stealing lightning from Zeus in the first film.
