In an interview with *Cinema Vikatan*, Mohanlal revealed that he has received several Tamil film offers but has been unable to consider them due to his packed schedule, particularly with *L2: Empuraan*. However, he subtly hinted that *Jailer 2* is in development and expressed his willingness to join the project if approached. “I got many scripts from Tamil, but I was a little busy with *Empuraan* and other projects. Now *Jailer 2* has started, I will join the film if they call me,” he said.
Mohanlal played a memorable cameo as Mathew in *Jailer*, starring Rajinikanth. While he has not confirmed his return, his statement has sparked excitement among fans.
