When Faisal Malik talks about Amitabh Bachchan, it’s not just admiration: it’s pure, old-school fandom. In a heartfelt and fun conversation with Movified Bollywood, the actor opened up about his undying love for Bachchan’s cinema, especially the cult classic Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, which he claims to have watched over 300 times. Yes, you read that right, 300 times and counting.
Faisal recalls how his journey with the film began. “Hamare Bade Papa VCR laaye the colored TV ke saath, aur yehi film lekar aaye the,” he said, painting a vivid picture of a household that ran on Amitabh Bachchan energy. “Muqaddar Ka Sikandar was on loop- school ke baad, Sunday, Monday, jab bhi koi rishtedaar aata tha, wahi film chalti thi.” He starts to share the glimpse from the film, recalling iconic scenes like when Mr. Bachchan riding a motorcycle with a smile, calling it “outstanding.”
The love doesn’t stop there. Faisal went on to list other Bachchan hits he’s watched countless times. “Don, Agneepath- sab dekhi hai aur ab bhi kabhi kabhi dekh leta hoon.” His admiration spans generations of cinema, but for him, Bachchan’s aura remains untouched.
When asked if he ever confessed this to Mr. Bachchan himself, Faisal admitted, “Nahi, aap kuch bol hi nahi sakte. Agar voh saamne khade ho jaaye na, kuch der lagta hai. Unka aur Shah Rukh Khan ka ek alag hi aura hai.”
This candid chat not only reveals Faisal’s cinematic inspirations but also proves that at heart, even stars can be starstruck.
