In the wake of the deadly terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam region on Tuesday, which claimed 26 lives, Mumbai has been placed on high alert. Security has been significantly tightened at public spaces, transportation hubs, and key landmarks across the city.
Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar has issued an advisory mandating increased vigilance, with police forces instructed to carry out regular night patrols across all zones. Senior officers have been directed to remain on duty round the clock to ensure preparedness and quick response.
The heightened alert aims to prevent any spillover threats and to reassure citizens amid rising national security concerns.
