Rajinikanth Pens Heartfelt Tribute After Actor Rajesh’s Passing

Veteran Tamil actor Rajesh passed away in the early hours of May 29 at the age of 75, leaving behind a rich legacy in Indian cinema. The actor reportedly succumbed to respiratory complications and is survived by his children Diya and Deepak. His passing has sent waves of grief through the film industry, with fans and colleagues remembering his versatile contributions across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema.

Rajinikanth, one of Rajesh’s long-time friends and co-stars, took to social media to express his deep sorrow. In an emotional note, the superstar wrote, “The news of the untimely death of my close friend, actor Rajesh, shocks me and causes me great heartache. A wonderful man, may his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.” His words struck a chord with many, adding to the chorus of tributes pouring in.

Rajesh began his film career in 1974 with a cameo in Aval Oru Thodar Kathai, a film starring Kamal Haasan. Over the next five decades, he appeared in more than 150 films, often playing both supporting and lead roles. His breakthrough came in 1979 with Kanni Paruvathile, and from there, he went on to share the screen with industry giants like Vijay, Mohanlal, and Vijay Sethupathi.

His final onscreen appearance was in the 2024 Hindi film Merry Christmas, alongside Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi. Beyond cinema, Rajesh was also a noted television actor and dubbing artist. His death marks the end of an era in South Indian cinema, and his contributions will be remembered for generations to come.
