Is Kabul Express a good movie?

Kabul Express is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language adventure film directed by documentary filmmaker Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. It was released on December 15, 2006. The film stars John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Salman Shahid of Pakistan, Hanif Hum Ghum of Afghanistan, and Linda Arsenio of the United States.


Director Kabir Khan has created various documentaries in Afghanistan over the years, but this is his first fictional picture. Kabul Express is based on his and his buddy Rajan Kapoor’s experiences in post-Taliban Afghanistan, according to him.

The film has gotten mixed to good reviews from critics. According to critics, the film is a far cry from true battle reporting. The picture had a positive reception at its initial release. Kabul Express grossed Rs. 12.25 crore (US$1.6 million) in India, according to Box Office India. As of February 2007, the film had grossed $4,523,110 in India, $53,104 in Australia, and $212,617 in the United Kingdom, for a worldwide total of $5,091,289. Overall, it was a somewhat successful venture.

The album includes nine tracks, three remixes, and two instrumentals. Raghav Sachar composed all of the tracks, with Julius Packiam contributing an instrumental. Aditya Dhar, Swaratmika Mishra, and Vijay Kumar wrote the lyrics. Julius Packiam composed the film’s score.
