Aetbaar is a 2004 Bollywood Hindi-language romantic psychological thriller film directed by Vikram Bhatt. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, and Supriya Pilgaonkar.
Ratan Tata, a business magnate, made his Bollywood debut with the film Aetbaar. Fear, a Hollywood film, inspired Aetbaar. Vikram Bhatt had previously directed Inteha, a film based on the Hollywood picture Fear, which had just been released three months prior.
Aetbaar is a suspenseful drama film. Dr. Ranveer Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan) has been extremely protective of his daughter Ria after his son died in a vehicle accident (Bipasha Basu). She is mesmerized by Aryan Trivedi (John Abraham) when she meets him and soon begins a connection with him as an act of adolescent rebellion against her overbearing father.
Ria brings him to her parents, and his mother (Supriya Pilgaonkar) is immediately impressed. Her father, on the other hand, is not as excited and refuses to meet Ria. Aryan is head over heels in love with Ria and will not leave her. Ria’s father chooses to delve deeper into Aryan’s past after she disobeys him. Ranveer is in a panic because he knows Ria is about to do something hazardous.
