James Edward Franco on born April 19, 1978, is an actor, filmmaker, and writer from the United States. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in 127 Hours (2010).
Danny Boyle co-wrote, produced, and directed the 2010 biographical survival drama movie 127 Hours. James Franco, Kate Mara, Amber Tamblyn, and Clémence Poésy feature in the picture. Canyoneer Aron Ralston is caught by a rock in a remote slot canyon in Bluejohn Canyon, southeastern Utah, in April 2003, and must find a means to escape. Pathé, Everest Entertainment, Film4 Productions, HandMade Movies, and Cloud Eight Films are involved in the production.
The movie was written by Boyle and Simon Beaufoy, co-produced by Christian Colson and John Smithson, and scored by A. R. Rahman, and is based on Ralston’s memoir Between a Rock and a Hard Place (2004). Boyle had previously worked with Beaufoy, Colson, and Rahman on Slumdog Millionaire (2008). 127 Hours garnered positive reviews from reviewers and moviegoers alike, grossing $60 million worldwide. It received six Academy Award nominations, including Best Actor for Franco and Best Picture for the film.
From the time Ralston was stranded in Blue John Canyon after his arm was pinned behind a boulder until he was rescued and resuscitated, the film’s title refers to a period of nonstop action.
