It had a restricted release in China on January 23 for a special three-hour sneak preview before being released in 3D in the United States on January 29. It grossed $521 million worldwide against a $145 million budget, making it the second highest-grossing movie of January after American Sniper. The voice acting, animation, aesthetics, humor, and heart of the movie garnered mostly positive reviews.
