Gayniggers from Outer Space is considered the number 1 movie of 1992. Morten Lindberg, a Danish performance artist, directed a 1992 blaxploitation short film. The movie is a spoof of science fiction films.
The story concerns a gang of interplanetary homosexual Black guys from the planet Anus who encounter feminine species on Earth. They proceed to remove females from Earth one by one using rayguns, garnering gratitude from the oppressed male populace. They leave behind a “Gay Ambassador” to educate the Earthlings about their new way of life before leaving the planet.
The film was described as a ‘queer-interest Dutch B movie in the hyper-transgressive tradition of John Waters,’ with an audience of ‘nerdy white males’ who appreciated the concept of blaxploitation. In the 2000s, the Internet troll group Gay Nigger Association of America utilized the movie in a recruitment push.
In a similar fashion as The Wizard of Oz, the film opens in black-and-white and then transitions to color. This was a ‘dramatic special effect’ to symbolize ‘the world being released from cruel women,’ according to filmmaker Morten Lindberg.
