Late acclaimed singer Bappi Lahiri‘s family held a prayer meeting in his remembrance on Wednesday, February 23. The prayer meet was attended by the veteran singer’s wife Chitrani Lahiri, his son Bappa Lahiri and daughter Rema Lahiri. Many celebrities were also seen Bappi Lahiri’s prayer in Mumbai. Bappi Da passed away from sleep apnea on February 15. His last rites were held on February 17 in Juhu, Mumbai. He was 69-years-old.
Shraddha Kapoor along with her mother Shivangi Kolhapure and brother Siddhanth were spotted at the prayer meet. Jaan Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sharbani Mukherjee, Ila Arun, was also spotted at Bappi Lahari’s prayer meet.
Bappi Lahiri’s last rites were performed at Pawan Hans crematorium by his son Bappa, who came back to the City from the USA after learning of his father’s demise.
Bappi Da is survived by his wife Chitrani Lahiri and two children- a son Bappa Lahiri and daughter Rema Lahiri. He had delivered many hit songs in the late 1970s-80s. His songs include Chalte Chalte, Disco Dancer, Yaad Aa Raha Hai, and Sharaabi among more. His last song was titled Bhankas for the 2020 film Baaghi 3, featuring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor.
