Are Punit Malhotra and Manish Malhotra related?

Punit Malhotra, an Indian film director who works in Hindi cinema, was born on May 13, 1981. I Hate Luv Stories, his first film, was released on July 2, 2010. After shooting with his uncle, celebrity fashion maestro Manish Malhotra, he is overjoyed.

Punit Malhotra was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and raised in a Punjabi household in the Bandra coastal area. Rekha was started by his maternal grandpa, Ram Dayal Sabarwal, who was a producer. Suneel and Dharmesh Darshan are his first cousins; David Dhawan, the well-known director, is his father’s first cousin; and Manish Malhotra, the well-known designer who was also the costume designer for his first film I Hate Luv Stories (2010), is his biological uncle.

Malhotra worked on Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Hansal Mehta’s Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai? (2002), Nikhil Advani’s Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Amol Palekar’s Paheli (2005), and Tarun Mansukhani’s Dostana as an assistant director. Finally, with I Hate Luv Stories (2010), which he also authored, he made his directorial debut.

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, Malhotra’s second film, was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and starred Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan, who had previously worked together in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. He directed Tiger Shroff, Ananya Pandey, and Tara Sutaria in the 2019 film Student of the Year 2.
