Divya Khosla Kumar, an Indian actress, producer, and director who works in Hindi cinema, was born on November 20, 1987. She has directed several commercials and has also appeared in many music videos. She is married to Bhushan Kumar, the chairman and managing director of T-Series, a music label and movie-making firm.
Divya began modeling at the age of 18 and moved to Mumbai at the age of 20 to pursue a career in Bollywood, where she met Bhushan Kumar. She made her acting debut in the Telugu film Love Today in 2004. She also starred in a video for Falguni Pathak’s pop song ‘Aiyyo Rama.’ In the same year, she made her Bollywood debut with the film Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo. After that, Divya took a long hiatus from performing to concentrating on directing.
She made music videos for Agam Kumar Nigam, Jermaine Jackson, Tulsi Kumar, and a few ad films after completing a cinematography and editing course. Divya directed her first movie, Yaariyan, in 2014, after directing 20 music videos. ‘Baarish,’ ‘Maa,’ ‘Love Me Thoda Aur,’ ‘Allah Wariya,’ and ‘Zor Lagake’ are among the five songs choreographed by Divya.
Sanam Re, her second directorial project, was released on February 12, 2016. She starred alongside John Abraham in Satyameva Jayate 2, which was released on November 25, 2021.
