A Good Day to Die Hard

A Good Day to Die Hard premiered in London on January 31, 2013, and was released in the United States on February 13, 2013, to coincide with the unveiling of a Die Hard mural at the Fox Lot. It’s the first Die Hard movie to have Dolby Atmos Surround Mixing, as well as the first to be shown in IMAX theatres.

Although the special effects were appreciated, it earned overwhelmingly unfavorable reviews for its improbable action sequences, cinematography, weak plot, clichéd writing, running duration, and lack of characterization. It is TSG Entertainment’s first feature after distributor 20th Century Fox left Dune Entertainment at the end of their distribution contract in 2012.
