Shruti Haasan on Sunday took to her social media and updates her fans and followers that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
Taking to her official Instagram handle, the actress shared a photo that read, “Hi everyone! A quick not so fun update. Despite all safety measures I have tested positive for Covid. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to be back very soon! Thank you and see you soon lovelies.”
As soon as she shared the news, fraternity friends and fans poured in get-well-soon messages in the comments section. Singer Sophie Choudry wrote, “Damn!!! Get well soon love!! Hugs and strength to you.” “Loads of love and tc Shruti u will be back and healthier soon,” director Siddharth Malhotra commented.
A while back, Shruti’s father, South superstar Kamal Haasan was also tested positive for the deadly virus. Later, he was hospitalized for treatment. The actor tweeted, “I had mild cough following my return from the USA. When I tested, the coronavirus infection was confirmed. I have isolated myself in hospital. Everyone should be on guard realizing that the COVID-19 spread has not faded.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shruti has recently seen in the web series ‘Bestseller’. The series got released on Amazon Prime Video on February 18. She also has a thriller film titled ‘Salaar’ in the pipeline.
