Tejasswi Prakash to Kapil Sharma, tv celebs mourn the demise of Bappi Lahiri

Veteran music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri breathed his last on Tuesday at 11:45 PM, February 15. He was 69. The news of his untimely demise broke in the morning and left everyone shocked. Several TV celebs took to social media to pay heartfelt tribute to Disco King.

Taking to Instagram stories, Bigg Boss 15 winner Tejasswi Prakash shared a photo of Bappi and wrote, “Rest in peace Bappi Da! To the end of the era…We all grew up listening and grooving to your songs. You will forever be remembered. Om Shanti.”

Bappi Lahiri had last appeared on Bigg Boss 15. Recalling his appearance on the reality show, actor Karan Kundrra tweeted, “Saddened and shocked.. you’re a legend dada.. you gave us so much love and positivity when you came to the BB house.. can’t believe Om Shanti #bappilahiri.”

Rupali Ganguly shared a picture with the singer and wrote, “The Legend. The King of Music. My Kaka. So many memories of Childhood spent at your house! Pappa and you started from “Agreement” and went on to do so many films and evergreen songs. So many recordings, so many conversations, so much love, and warmth… You always singing Yaar Bina Chain Kahan Re every time we met! Our conversations about Pappa Will miss you!! For me, an era has ended today.”

Bappi Lahiri demise

Sharing a photo with Bappi Lahiri, comedian Sugandha Mishra wrote an emotional note. She added, “R.I.P our loving n legendary Bappi Da @bappilahiri_official_ Apart from being a veteran Singer/ Musician.. he was a gem of a person.. great human being, kind soul, fun-loving..always encouraging and motivating… I still remember how I got a chance to meet him on my first TV show..11 years back (when I started my career) since then .. he was so kind.. always made me part of sp occasions n celebrations.. #ganpatifestival .. u are n will always be in our hearts dada.. love and strength to the family.. #prayers #legendsneverdie.”

Kapil Sharma shared a picture of Bappi Da and wrote in Hindi, “Chalte Chalte, mere ye geet yaad rakhna, kabhi alvida naa kehna. Aap hamesha yaad ayenge Bappi Da. Om Shanti.”

Remembering the legendary singer, producer Ekta Kapoor wrote, “U wore attitude on u sleeve! An icon!! Music lost its glitter today.

Bappi Lahiri’s last rites will be performed on Thursday. The singer is survived by two children – a daughter, Rema Lahiri, and a son, Bappa Lahiri.
