Suniel Shetty is diving deep into Mumbai’s murkiest underworld history. The actor-producer has thrown his weight behind The Black Scorpion – To Hell And Back, a hard-hitting true crime drama based on the upcoming book by veteran crime journalists Raju Santhanam, Vijay Shekhar and Calvin Joshua.
The book traces the jaw-dropping life of Shyam Kishore Garikapati, aka “The Black Scorpion” — a former NDA qualifier who spiralled into Mumbai’s bloody gang wars, moved within the worlds of Dawood Ibrahim, Chhota Rajan and Arun Gawli, survived a decade in prison, and ultimately reformed into a businessman after a life-changing encounter with Kiran Bedi in Tihar Jail.
