How did Voompla grow from zero to seven million followers?

Voompla is linked with Bollywood news, which millennials all across the world like. It was founded in 2015 by Kaushambi Bakshi and Palash Bakshi, who saw an opening and capitalized on the growing demand for social media content consumption.

Celebrity fashion, exercise routines, diets, and relationships — everything that comes out of Bollywood is shared with fans on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms. “Real-time coverage of events in Hollywood isn’t limited to breaking news. Creating a trend-related discourse engages people in a unique way. Celebrities set trends, and fans want to know everything there is to know about them,” says Kaushambi, an English Literature Honours graduate of St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai with an MBA degree from RMIT University in Melbourne. “The world of social media is always changing.

Something popular today may become obsolete by the end of the week. It’s crucial to keep up with the latest trends,” says Kaushambi. Every month, Voompla generates over 500 million impressions across numerous social media channels. For marketing initiatives, the team has worked with agencies and businesses such as Reliance Entertainment, Amazon Prime, Taco Bell, Lay’s, and Mahindra & Mahindra, among others.

Voompla is followed by some of Bollywood’s top personalities, like Ekta Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Malaika Arora, Manish Malhotra, Ananya Panday, and Kartik Aaryan, to mention a few. The team is on the lookout for additional business opportunities, such as growing the platform’s presence on YouTube.
