Govinda, one of Bollywood’s top actors, was once in love with Neelam Kothari. Govinda was enamored by the actress when they initially worked together on their film Ilzaam. Neelam Kothari Soni, also known as Neelam, is an Indian jewelry designer and actress who was born on November 9, 1969. Jawaani (1984), in which she co-starred with Karan Shah, was her acting debut. She is a Hong Kong native. She is of Gujarati and Iranian descent. She learned to play the keyboard and danced Jazz Ballet as a child. Her family owns a traditional jewelry business that specializes in high-end pieces.
She attended Island School and was a member of the Rutherford House. Her family relocated to Bangkok after she completed her upbringing in Hong Kong. Neelam was on vacation in Mumbai when filmmaker Ramesh Behl reached her. She decided to give acting a try and joined up with Tina Munim’s nephew, Karan Shah, for the film Jawaani (1984). However, the picture was a commercial failure.
Neelam married Rishi Sethia, the son of a British businessman, in October 2000. Soon after, they divorced.
