Ryan Rodney Reynolds is a Canadian actor and film producer who acted in Deadpool. He was born on October 23, 1976. He began his acting career in the Canadian teen serial opera Hillside (1991–1993), then moved on to minor roles until starring in the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl from 1998 to 2001.
Reynolds went on to star in comedies including National Lampoon’s Van Wilder (2002), Waiting (2005), and The Proposal, among others (2009). He also appeared in the dramas Buried (2010), Woman in Gold (2015), and Life (2017), as well as action pictures Blade: Trinity (2004), Green Lantern (2011), 6 Underground (2019), and Free Guy (2021).
The superhero films Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018), in which he played the title character, were Reynolds’ biggest commercial successes. The former broke multiple records for an R-rated comedy at the time of its release, and his performance garnered him nods for both the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and the Golden Globe Awards.
In 2017, Reynolds was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has three daughters with actress Blake Lively, with whom he has been married since 2012. He was previously married to actress Scarlett Johansson from 2008 until 2011.
