Is Spider-Man 3 the last Spiderman movie?

Spider-Man 3 is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man that was released in 2007. Sam Raimi directed the film, which was based on a script written by Raimi, his older brother Ivan, and Alvin Sargent. Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy comes to a close with this film. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard, James Cromwell, Rosemary Harris, and J. K. Simmons star as Peter Parker in the film.

Cliff Robertson’s final film performance before his retirement and death in 2011 is also featured in the film. Set a year after the events of Spider-Man 2, the movie follows Peter Parker as he gets ready for his future with Mary Jane Watson while dealing with three new villains: Flint Marko, Uncle Ben’s true killer, who transforms into Sandman after a freak accident; Harry Osborn, Peter’s former friend, who discovers Peter’s identity and seeks vengeance on his father; and Eddie Brock, a rival photographer who transforms into Venom.

After the success of Spider-Man 2, development on third part began immediately for a 2007 release. Raimi had hoped to introduce another villain besides Sandman during pre-production. He included Venom at the request of producer Avi Arad, and Gwen Stacy was also requested by the producers. The film’s principal photography began in January 2006 in Los Angeles and Cleveland, before shifting to New York City between May and July 2006.
