Which is the first Scooby-Doo movie?

Scooby-Doo is a computer-animated epic fantasy comedy movie released in 2002. It is based on the long-running Hanna-Barbera animated television series of the same name. The first movie in the Scooby-Doo live-action movie series, the flick was directed by Raja Gosnell from a screenplay by James Gunn and stars Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini, Isla Fisher, and Rowan Atkinson. Mystery Incorporated, a team of four young people and a talking dog who solve mysteries, reassembles after a two-year hiatus to investigate a mystery at a popular horror-themed tropical island resort. On a budget of $84 million, filming took place in and around Queensland, Australia.

On June 17, 2002, the picture was released and made $275 million worldwide. Shaggy, a reggae performer, and MxPx, a rock band, both performed their own versions of the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! theme tune. In 2003, Warner Bros. Movie World in Gold Coast, Australia, erected the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster, a ride based on the film.

Critics mainly panned the film, criticizing its storyline, humor, and visual effects; nonetheless, Lillard’s performance was praised, and the film has retained a cult following over the years. Before his death on March 22, 2001, William Hanna acted as an executive producer for the last time. On March 26, 2004, a sequel, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, was released.
