Quantico is a three-season Hollywood thriller drama TV series that aired on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) from September 27, 2015, to August 3, 2018, and featured 57 episodes.
The sitcom was conceived by Joshua Safran, who also acted as the showrunner, and was produced by ABC Studios. Executive producers include Mark Gordon, Robert Gertner, Nicholas Pepper, and Safran. In the third season, Michael Seitzman took over as showrunner and executive producer, with Safran serving as an executive producer.
After graduating from the FBI Academy, Priyanka Chopra plays Alex Parrish, who joins the Federal Bureau of Investigation and becomes a top suspect in a terrorist attack on Grand Central Terminal.
The first season of the show was mostly shot in Montreal, with downtown Montreal and Sherbrooke, Canada serving as stand-ins for New York City and Quantico, Virginia, respectively. During the second season, production shifted to New York, with a few episodes shot in Italy and Ireland for the third season.
Critics praised Chopra’s portrayal and the diversity of the cast in Quantico, and it earned excellent reviews. Some people objected to the ‘confusing dual timelines.’ Chopra won two People’s Choice Awards for the series: Favorite Actress in a New TV Series in 2016 (making her the first South Asian to win a People’s Choice Award) and Favorite Dramatic TV Actress in 2017. The series was nominated for four People’s Choice Awards, including Favorite Network TV Drama. The sitcom was canceled by ABC in May 2018 after three seasons.
