Ryan, a 10-year-old Oklahoma child, believes he is the reincarnation of Marty Martyn, a famous Hollywood actor who died in 1964. Ryan is only ten years old, yet he has already experienced life as a middle-aged man. He used to be someone else, he informed his mother when he was five, and that someone was someone who, according to his dreams and memories, maintained company with old Hollywood stars, danced on Broadway, and worked in the movies.
His mother, Cyndi, decided to do some research in her local library’s film archives after hearing his confession. “His stories were so detailed and extensive that a child couldn’t make them up,” she explained.
Dr. Tucker was able to confirm 55 details — everything from the number of children he had to the street where he lived — that Ryan gave about his former life after digging through old records and contacting Martyn’s daughter. But, despite his amazing recall, there was one nagging thing that Ryan couldn’t get over.
“He stated he didn’t understand why God would allow you to reach the age of 61 and then force you to return as a baby,” Tucker added. This won’t matter as much in the long run. Ryan says he’s glad he had the experience and is looking forward to going on as a kid now that his memories of his old life are fading.
