Neeraj Roy, an Indian businessman, was born on August 13, 1967. He is the CEO and managing director of Hungama Digital Media Entertainment, which owns Hungama.com and Bollywood Hungama, as well as ArtistAloud.com. Hungama is now South Asia’s leading digital and mobile entertainment company, thanks to his leadership. He is also the head of the Mobile Entertainment Forum’s Asia board, and was recently named one of the world’s ’50 Most Influential People in Mobile Entertainment.’
In 2001, Roy received the Sun Microsystems-Economic Times Young Leader Award, and Business India named him one of the top 25 young leaders of the new millennium. Roy’s father founded the El Chico espresso and snack shop in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, where Roy was born. He was sent to boarding school at St. Joseph’s College in Nainital when he was eight years old, where he completed his education. He went on to Allahabad University, where he graduated first in his class. In 1988, he relocated to Mumbai to pursue an MBA at the Sydenham Institute of Management Studies. SIMSREE.
