Taapsee Pannu‘s upcoming film Rashmi Rocket is all set to premiere on October 15 on Zee5. The sports drama film also features Abhishek Banerjee, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Supriya Pathak. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, Taapsee plays the role of a Gujarati athlete named Rashmi.
To do justice to her role as an athlete in Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee trained vigorously. On Monday, (September 20), the actress took to Instagram to announce the release date of the film. It will release on the occasion of Dussehra, October 15, on Zee5.
Sharing a new poster of the film, Taapsee wrote, “Get ready to run with Rashmi in this race on and off the track. She will need you in this one #RashmiRocket ready to take off on 15th October 2021 only on @zee5.”
About Rashmi Rocket
Taapsee portrays the role of an athlete named Rashmi in the film. Priyanshu Painyuli plays her husband, while Supriya Pathak will be seen essaying Taapsee’s mother in the film.
After wrapping up the shoot of Rashmi Rocket in January this year, Taapsee penned an emotional note. A part of her caption read, “Not sure if I have the time and space to explain how this film actually happened. From the basic storyline, I heard in Chennai 3 years back to actually complete its filming against all odds in these challenging times. This was one hell of a driven team effort!”
Rashmi Rocket is written by Aniruddha Guha, Nanda Periyasamy, and Kanika Dhillon and is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala along with Pranjal Khandhdiya and Neha Anand.
