How is the movie Boruto: Naruto the Movie?

Boruto: Naruto the Movie is a 2015 Japanese animated movie that marks Hiroyuki Yamashita’s directorial debut. It is the second film in the canonical Naruto storyline and is a sequel to Masashi Kishimoto’s manga and anime Naruto. Yko Sanpei, Junko Takeuchi, Kokoro Kikuchi, and Noriaki Sugiyama feature in the film.

Set after the events of Naruto, the movie follows Boruto Uzumaki, the son of Naruto’s protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki, who is unable to live with his family due to his position as the leader of his ninja village. Sasuke Uchiha, the village’s vigilante, returns with warnings about two beings that could pose a serious threat to the world peace that the ninjas achieved in the first series.

The previous movie, The Last: Naruto the Movie, featured a post-credits scene that teased the upcoming film (2014). Kishimoto was heavily involved in the production of The Last, handling both the narrative and the character designs. Kishimoto, on the other hand, played a bigger role in the production of this picture, managing the storyline, character designs, and screenplay.

This caused him problems, and he needed assistance from other members of the team, including writer Ukyo Kodachi and director Yamashita. They produced fresh scenes that stayed with Kishimoto for a long time. The movie became the franchise’s highest-grossing film when it was released in August 2015, and its home media versions sold well enough to become Japan’s best-selling releases in 2016.

With both the manga and anime adaptations, Ukyo Kodachi and illustrator Mikio Ikemoto adapted the film as the first story arc of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (2016), a manga sequel to Naruto.
