What is the story of Film Dum?

Dum is a Hindi-language action film directed by Eeshwar Nivas and produced by Ali and Karim Morani that was released in 2003. The film is a remake of the 2001 Tamil film Dhill and stars Vivek Oberoi, Dia Mirza, Govind Namdeo, and Atul Kulkarni. Supporting parts are played by Sushant Singh, Mukesh Rishi, and Sheeba. Sandeep Chowta composed the soundtrack for the film, which was released by Sony Music Studios.


On January 24, 2003, the picture was released in theatres. Dum was panned by director Dharani, who wrote and directed Dhill, for deviating from the source material and making significant story alterations, which led to the film’s failure in the Hindi market.

Mohan (Vivek Oberoi) and Uday (Vivek Oberoi) are from a poor middle-class families. The brothers are adamant about entering the police force, despite their family’s desires. The two want to build a name for themselves entirely on the strength of their ability. Despite the lack of any references or leverage to get into the police school, luck smiles on them in the form of their training officer, Raj Dutt Sharma.

On January 24, 2003, the picture was released in theatres. To obtain a 12A classification in the United Kingdom, the distributor eliminated the visuals of a gunshot hit.
