Alice Through the Looking Glass is a 2016 Hollywood live-action/animated imaginary adventure movie directed by James Bobin, written by Linda Woolverton, and produced by Tim Burton, Joe Roth, Suzanne Todd, and Jennifer Todd. It is based on Lewis Carroll’s characters and is a follow-up to the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland, which was a live-action remake of Disney’s 1951 animated film of the same name. Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Matt Lucas, Rhys Ifans, Helena Bonham Carter, and Sacha Baron Cohen are among the cast members.

Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall, Barbara Windsor, Matt Vogel, Paul Whitehouse, and Alan Rickman all lend their voices to the picture. Rickman, Windsor, and Andrew Sachs appear in their final cinematic roles before their deaths.

In the film, Alice discovers a magical-looking glass that transports her back to Wonderland, where she discovers that the Mad Hatter is behaving strangely and wants to learn the truth about his family. Alice then travels across time, encountering friends and foes at various times in their lives, and starts on a race against time to save the Hatter.

Critics gave Alice Through the Looking Glass mostly poor reviews, praising the performances and visual effects but criticizing the story and characters. On a budget of $170 million, the picture grossed over $299 million, making it a box office disaster.
