Greenland is a disaster thriller film which starred Gerard Butler, directed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Chris Sparling that was released in 2020. Morena Baccarin, Roger Dale Floyd, Scott Glenn, David Denman, and Hope Davis star in the film, which follows a family as they fight for survival as a planet-destroying comet approaches Earth.

Greenland was originally supposed to be released in theatres in the United States, but it was repeatedly postponed owing to the COVID-19 epidemic. On December 18, 2020, STXfilms distributed the film in the United States via video on demand, and it was later broadcast on HBO Max and Amazon Prime. It was still distributed in theatres in various countries, beginning on July 29, 2020, in Belgium. With a $35 million production budget, the picture earned mostly good reviews from reviewers and grossed $52.3 million worldwide.

Chris Evans joined the cast in May 2018, and the film is directed by Neill Blomkamp from a screenplay by Chris Sparling. Blomkamp confirmed in February 2019 that he will no longer be directing the project. Greenland: Migration, a sequel, is in the works, with Waugh, Gerard Butler, Baccarin, and Floyd all set to reprise their roles.
