Dream Horse

Dream Alliance, an odd racehorse bred by Welsh bartender Jan Vokes, is the subject of the film. Jan persuades her neighbors to contribute their earnings to help Dream gather money so he may compete with the racing elites despite having very little money and no expertise. Dream advances through the ranks with courage and tenacity, and goes on to race in the Welsh Grand National, repaying the group’s investment. In its first weekend, Dream Horse grossed $796,000 from 1,254 theatres. Females made up 62% of the audience, with 86% of those over the age of 25.
