Basketball has been the subject of numerous films throughout cinematic history, ranging from classics to B-movies. This is not a ranking, but rather a list of the top three not-to-be-missed films, which are either true-to-life adaptations or completely fictional stories with a similar theme.

3. The Carter Effect: Sean Menard’s latest film provides a unique glimpse at Vince Carter, the six-foot-six, eight-time NBA All-Star from Daytona Beach who created ripples in the Canadian basketball scene when he joined the Raptors in 1998.
