The End of the Tour is a drama film about writer David Foster Wallace that was released in 2015. Principal photography in Grand Rapids and Hudsonville, Michigan, began on February 19, 2014, and lasted for five weeks. On March 19, 2014, it was revealed that filming would take place at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids, with the production expected to complete soon. Muskegon County Airport was used for sequences resembling Chicago O’Hare Airport around March 20, 2014, and an Embraer 145 fuselage in a Muskegon hangar was used for airplane interior scenes.
On July 24, 2015, Lakeshore Records published the film’s soundtrack, which was written by Danny Elfman. Tiffany Anders directed the soundtrack, which includes songs by Alanis Morissette, R.E.M., Brian Eno, and Felt.
