Minority Report is a science fiction action film directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise, partly based on Philip K. Dick’s 1956 short story ‘The Minority Report.’ Precrime, a specialist police force, apprehends offenders based on foreknowledge provided by three psychics known as ‘precogs’ in Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia in the year 2054. Tom Cruise essayed John Anderton, Colin Farrell portrayed Danny Witwer, Samantha Morton played Agatha Lively, and Max von Sydow essayed Lamar Burgess in the film.

It operates by enlisting the help of three psychics known as precogs, who can foresee future crimes as they occur. They can examine and analyze data using advanced technology and identify the culprit before the crime is committed. When the system’s creator, John Anderton, is accused of one of these crimes, he sets out to establish his innocence.
Despite a $142 million budget, the film grossed over $358 million worldwide.
