Is Hum Saath Saath Hain movie a blockbuster?

The film is mostly about the love and affection shared between brothers, as well as the importance of family togetherness. Ramkishen (Alok Nath) and his wife Mamta (Reema Lagoo) have three sons: Vivek (Mohnish Behl), Prem (Salman Khan), and Vinod (Saif Ali Khan). Preeti and Sapna (Sonali Bendre and Karisma Kapoor) are Prem and Vinod’s sweethearts, while Vivek, the eldest son, has always been shy and quiet due to a birth disability.

Sooraj R. Barjatya wrote and directed the 1999 Indian Hindi-language family drama film Hum Saath Saath Hain, which was produced and released by Rajshri Productions. The plot revolves around a close-knit family with strong morals and a strong bond, who become estranged following a misunderstanding. For the third time, Raamlaxman collaborated with Sooraj Barjatya on the soundtrack.

Hum Saath Saath Hain

Salman Khan’s third film with Rajshri Productions is Hum Saath Saath Hain. The music was composed by Raamlaxman, and the words were written by Dev Kohli. Khan was nominated for Best Actor at the Zee Cine Awards in 2000 for his performance. At the 45th Filmfare Awards, Mohnish Behl was nominated for Best Supporting Actor. The film was also dubbed into Telugu and titled Premnurgam when it was released.

When it came to Bahl’s role, it was first offered to Anil Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, but after their denial, Bahl was cast to portray Vivek and prepared for the role by keeping his right hand in his pocket. Later, the producers approached Rishi Kapoor about reprising Anand’s part, but he declined, as did Nitish Bhardwaj when offered, and Mahesh Thakur was cast. The film was released on November 5, 1999, and became one of the year’s biggest commercial blockbusters, grossing Rupees 810 million (US$11 million) worldwide.
