Samuel L Jackson is unquestionably one of the most well-known performers in Hollywood. Jackson originally became known for his role as Gator in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever, and subsequently for his role as Jules in Pulp Fiction, for which he received an Oscar nomination. Jackson has acted in almost 100 films since then, portraying renowned characters such as Mace Windu in Star Wars and Nick Fury in The Avengers.
Pulp Fiction (1994): In Quentin Tarantino’s now-classic film, Jackson plays renowned hitman Jules Winnfield.

When I got there, I started telling him about who I wanted Gator to be, and how I wanted him to use his parents, brother, and everyone else in his life to helping him with his addiction, whether it was to gain money from them, use them, or manipulate them in any way.
A time To Kill (1996): ‘In A Time to Kill, that was my grandfather and his brothers,’ Jackson says of infusing a performance with real-life experience. These old country dudes who work the land put in a lot of effort. They’re pigeon-toed, stooping, arms strewn about, loping, and swaying from side to side.
Jackie Brown (1997): ‘If you want to work on the most harmonious process in the world, you should do a Tarantino movie,’ Jackson says of working with Quentin Tarantino. One thing I like about Quentin’s sets is that they don’t have any electronics.
