10 is a 1979 American romantic comedy movie written, produced, and directed by Blake Edwards and featuring Dudley Moore, Julie Andrews, Robert Webber, and Bo Derek.
At the time of its release, it became a trendsetting movie, and it was one of the biggest box-office successes. The tale is about a middle-aged man who develops feelings for a young woman he has never met, which leads to a hilarious chase and an encounter in Mexico.
During a surprise 42nd birthday party organized by his actress girlfriend Samantha Taylor for the wealthy and famous composer George Webber, George discovers that he is having trouble coping with his age. George sees a bride on her way to her wedding from his car and is immediately enamored with her beauty. He nearly ruins the wedding ceremony by crashing into a police cruiser, being stung by a bee, and following her to the church.
On October 5, 1979, Warner Bros. released the film 10 in 706 cinemas. On May 21, 1997, Warner Home Video published a DVD edition, and on February 1, 2011, a Blu-ray edition was released. The original theatrical trailer and a four-minute promotional documentary are also included in the additional content. In 2003, MDP Worldwide stated that Blake Edwards would film a remake named 10 Again, however, the project was shelved.
