Who is the husband of Moushumi Chatterjee?

Moushumi Chatterjee, also known as Indira Chattopadhyay, is an Indian actress who has worked in both Hindi and Bengali films. During the 1970s, she was the sixth best-paid actress in Hindi films. On January 2, 2019, she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Moushumi Chatterjee was born in Calcutta. Her grandpa was a judge and her father, Prantosh Chattopadhyaya, served in the Indian Army.

She married Jayanta Mukherjee, the son of music composer and vocalist Hemant Kumar, who is also a Rabindra Sangeet practitioner. Payal and Megha are their two daughters. After her marriage, she began performing in Hindi films.

Chatterjee made her cinematic debut in Tarun Majumdar’s Bengali smash Balika Badhu (1967). Shakti Samanta directed her debut as a heroine in the Hindi film Anuraag in 1972. The movie went on to be a huge hit. Anuraag was named Best Picture at the Filmfare Awards. Naina starred Shashi Kapoor, Kuchhe Dhaage starred Vinod Khanna, and Us Paar starred Vinod Mehra in 1973. In ten films, she starred alongside Vinod Mehra, including Anuraag, Us-Paar, Raftaar, Umar Qaid, Mazaaq, Zindagi, and Do Jhoot.

Moushumi Chatterjee returned to cinema in 2006 with Tanuja Chandra’s Zindaggi Rocks. In 2003, she acted in the Indo-Canadian film Bollywood/Hollywood.
