Greene was born in the city of Washington, D.C., in the United States. He joined the US Army after graduating from high school and was stationed in Germany in 1985.
In 1991, his biggest hit was ‘This Beat Is Hot,’ which peaked at number one on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the United States. In the United States, the song reached number 72 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 54 on the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart. The next year, he released ‘Take Control of the Party,’ which reached number two on the dance charts.
