Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar got hitched on February 19 in Khandala. On the big day, Farhan’s daughters Akira and Shakya were at the frontline. The couple took the plunge in presence of their family members and close acquaintance.
Akira and Shakya are Farhan’s daughters with his ex-wife and celeb hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani. Farhan and Adhuna tied the knot in 2000 and they separated in 2017. In one of the photographs shared by Farhan, Akira and Shakya can be happily seen posing with him. In another snap, they can be seen dancing their hearts out. The actor captioned the post: “Friends. Family. Fun times.”
Farhan Akhtar also shared his wedding album on his official Instagram handle: “A few days ago, Shibani Dandekar and I celebrated our union and we are deeply grateful to all those who did respect our need for privacy on the day. The celebration, however, is incomplete without sharing some precious moments with you and seeking your blessings as we begin our journey across the skies of time, together. With love from us to you.”
After the Khandala wedding, the couple got their wedding registered in Mumbai on February 21.
On the work front, Farhan was last seen in Toofan, which was helmed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. He will also direct a road drama film titled, Jee Le Zaraa, starring Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, and Alia Bhatt.
