Good Newwz is a 2019 Bollywood Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar, Shashank Khaitan, and Aruna Bhatia under their respective brands Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.
The film, which stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani, is about two couples who try in vitro fertilization. The filming began in November 2018 and finished in April 2019. In India, it was released in theatres on December 27, 2019.
Filming for Dosanjh and Advani began in December 2018, with Dosanjh and Advani filming their respective roles. In January, Kumar and Kapoor began filming and announced it on Instagram. Kumar recently said of Kapoor in an interview and on Twitter: “We have a great deal of affection for one another. Bebo and Lolo mock me about how much money I make, and I joke with them about how I have a flat in every Bandra building. That’s how we have a good time Anjana Sukhani, who is well known for her performance in the film Golmaal, joined the cast to play Kumar’s sister. In the first week of April 2019, the filming was completed.
Tanishk Bagchi, Rochak Kohli, Lauv, Lijo George–DJ Chetas, Manj Musik–Herbie Sahara, Sukhbir, and Kshmr composed the film’s music. Kumaar, Rashmi Virag, Tanishk Bagchi, Sukhbir, Gurpreet Saini, Ari Leff, Michael Pollock, Herbie Sahara, and Vayu wrote the songs. John Stewart Eduri composed the music for the background score.
