Akhil, who both composed and lent his voice to the song, recalled that Humsafar was born from a deeply personal space. Written and composed during an emotional phase of his life, the song was initially not created for Bollywood. However, its raw emotions and heartfelt lyrics caught the attention of filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, who instantly knew it belonged in the film.
Talking about the experience, Akhil said, “I never imagined Humsafar would make it to such a big platform. It was a song straight from my heart, and when Dharma Productions picked it up, it was like a dream come true.”
