Lawrence D’Souza directed Dil Tera Aashiq, a romantic comedy film from India released in 1993. Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit play significant parts in the film. ‘Nadeem-Shravan have always had the touch for making these romantic soundtracks work, Dil Tera Aashiq is another contribution to the shine on the crown of melody kings,’ said Rakesh Budhu of Planet Bollywood, who scored the album 8.5 stars. The film’s most popular song was ‘Dil Tera Aashiq.’ Sameer wrote all of the words, and Nadeem-Shravan composed all of the music.
Sonia Khanna, who lives with her widowed and ailing mother and is unable to make even a middle-class living, has yet another hurdle when she must get her mother hospitalized as well as come up with the money for medical expenses. She finds work as a governess for widower Chaudhary Ranjit Singh’s children in Ooty, but he prefers someone more mature. So she dresses up as an older woman, goes by the name Savitri, and gets a job.
After she falls in love with her boss’s nephew, Vijay, while being courted by the latter, things get comical and out of hand. And the turbulence becomes deadly when she begins to be blackmailed by an unknown man.
