Molly’s Game is a 2017 American biographical mystery drama movie directed by Aaron Sorkin (in his directorial debut) and based on Molly Bloom’s 2014 memoir of the same name. Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, Michael Cera, Jeremy Strong, Chris O’Dowd, Joe Keery, Brian D’Arcy James, and Bill Camp feature in the film.

After the underground poker enterprise, she runs for Hollywood celebrities, athletes, business tycoons, and the Russian mob is uncovered, Bloom (Chastain) becomes the target of an FBI inquiry. In November 2016, principal photography commenced in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2017, and STX Entertainment launched a limited theatrical distribution in the United States on December 25, 2017.
Prior to its global release on January 5, 2018, the film grossed $59 million worldwide. Molly’s Game garnered good reviews, with critics praising Sorkin’s screenplay as well as Chastain and Elba’s performances, with the former being hailed as one of her best.
