This list of producers has undoubtedly become Bollywood’s richest production company by producing blockbuster films every year.
UTV Motion Pictures
UTV Motion Pictures was founded by Ronnie Screwvala and Zarina Screwvala in 1996. The company is also known as Disney with its headquarters in Mumbai, the parent company of this production is The Walt Disney Company India.

It came up with its first-ever Hindi film ‘Dil Ke Jharoke main’ in 1997 directed by Ashim Bhattacharya. They were the producers of the highest-grossing Indian movie, ‘Dangal’ worldwide. The movie earned approx 2,024 crores in INR from all over the world.
It has also produced box office hits such as Swades, Rang De Basanti, Chennai Express, PK, and Barfi.
Fox Star Studios
In number two comes Fox Star Studios. It also has the same parent company like The Walt Disney Company India. Founded in March 2008, the CEO of the production 2008 was Vijay Singh.


Their first movie under this banner was Khichdi in 2010. This production house has two best gross earning movies worldwide with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Sanju.
Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore was produced by Fox Star Studios and was awarded a Rajat Kamal National award.
Few more popular movies by this production house include, Chhapaak, Housefull 4, Total Dhamaal, My Name is Khan, and many more.
Eros International
Eros International Media Ltd. was founded in 1977. Also known as Eros India, it was founded by Kishore Lulla and Arjun Lulla. Its parent company is ErosSTX.


They released their first musical drama movie ‘Waqt’ in 2005. It has been the creator of blockbusters such as ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ which has grossed 970.05 crore INR worldwide. It has also created some amazing films such as Badlapur, Hero, and even Bengali movies like Bela Seshe.
Dharma Productions
Dharma Productions was founded by Yash Johar in 1979. The first film produced by this banner was Raj Khosla’s ‘Dostana’. Later in 2004, after the death of Yash Johar, his son Karan Johar took over the company.


The first film to fetch a national award for the best actor faction of this production house was ‘Agneepath’.
In the year 1998, Karan Johar’s debut direction ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hain’ brought phenomenal success to the banner. It is said to be the highest-grossing film of the production house till now. Besides this, a film like ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gam’ also brought them huge success. Some of the popular hits given by this production company include, ‘Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani,’ ‘Simmba’among several others.
