Which Christopher Nolan movie made the most money?

‘The Dark Knight,’ Christopher Nolan‘s most commercially successful film to date, grossed about 535 million dollars in North America at the box office. Christopher Nolan directed, produced, and co-wrote The Dark Knight, a superhero picture released in 2008. The film is the second episode of Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy and a sequel to 2005’s Batman Begins and is based on the DC Comics character Batman.

Christian Bale stars alongside Michael Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Morgan Freeman in the picture. In the film, Bruce Wayne / Batman (Bale), Police Lieutenant James Gordon (Oldman), and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Eckhart) form an alliance to combat organized crime in Gotham City, but they are threatened by the Joker (Ledger), an anarchistic mastermind who seeks to undermine Batman’s power and throw the city into chaos.

The film was inspired by the Joker’s first appearance in a comic book in 1940, the 1988 graphic novel The Killing Joke, and the 1996 television series The Long Halloween, which recounted Harvey Dent’s story arc. The film received critical acclaim for its screenplay, visual effects, musical score, mature themes, performances (particularly Ledger’s), cinematography, action sequences, and direction, and was regarded as one of the best films of its decade and one of the greatest and most influential superhero films of all time.

That year’s best film was The Dark Knight. It was the fourth-highest-grossing film at the time and the highest-grossing film of 2008, making over $1 billion globally; it also established the record for the highest-grossing domestic opening with $158 million, a record is kept for three years.
