Netflix India has unveiled the first-look poster for Lust Stories 3, confirming that the Emmy-nominated anthology returns on September 18 with four new stories built around desire, relationships and the messy choices that come with modern intimacy.
The colourful key art carries the tagline “Desire, drama and dilemmas,” and arrives with a filmmaker lineup that should feel familiar to cinephiles who like relationship cinema with an edge: Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj each direct one segment. The writing bench stretches beyond those four, with credits also including Sumukhi Suresh, Utkarshini Vashishtha, Tanaji Dasgupta, Avinash Sampath, Sameeha Sabnis, Ashwathi Namboodiri and Nitesh Bhatia, among others.
The ensemble is stacked. Netflix’s announcement and subsequent coverage list Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Madan, Sana Thampi, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Siddharth, Ali Fazal and Gurfateh Pirzada. For Movified readers, that mix of established names and a newer face in Sana Thampi is part of the draw — the franchise has always thrived when performers lean into awkward honesty rather than glossy romance.
Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Ashi Dua’s Flying Unicorn Entertainment, Lust Stories 3 continues a format that lets each director own a self-contained world while sharing one thematic spine. Netflix India’s Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh has framed the appeal simply: every chapter starts from a shared human impulse and lands somewhere emotionally different. Screwvala and Dua have both stressed the anthologys willingness to evolve with how intimacy and relationships are talked about now.
The first and second editions already proved that short-form, adult-skewing storytelling can travel well on Netflix India. With a locked premiere date, a fresh creative quartet and a poster that keeps plot cards close to the chest, Lust Stories 3 is one of mid-September’s clearest appointment watches for OTT audiences who like their romance complicated.
Mark September 18 — Lust Stories 3 streams only on Netflix.
