What is Ben Stiller’s best ever movie?

Benjamin Edward Meara Stiller is an American actor, comedian, producer, film director, and screenwriter who was born on November 30, 1965. Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, both comedians, and actresses are his parents. Noah Baumbach directed and wrote The Meyerowitz Stories, a 2017 American comedy-drama film. Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman, Elizabeth Marvel, and Emma Thompson star in the film, which follows a group of dysfunctional adult siblings as they try to live in the shadow of their father.

The Meyerowitz Stories was chosen to compete for the Palme d’Or in the main competition section of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and also earned the Palm Dog award. Critics appreciated Baumbach’s storyline and direction, as well as the performances, with Sandler receiving special mention. On October 13, 2017, it was released in cinemas and on Netflix for streaming.

Along with Okja, the film was the second Netflix picture to compete at Cannes, causing a disagreement with jury president Pedro Almodóvar, who believes that Cannes Film Festival films should be developed for huge screens, not online streaming.

In 2017, the Cannes Film Festival announced a new rule requiring films to ‘commit themselves to be distributed in French cinema theatres’ before competing. A French rule prohibits streaming services from showing films for 36 months after their theatrical premiere, effectively barring Netflix films from future festivals.
