Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated romantic war drama Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, has reportedly completed filming, according to reports published between September 4 and 5. The production now moves into post-production ahead of its planned theatrical release on January 21, 2027.
Reports say Bhansali and the film’s unit marked the completion with an emotional farewell after the final schedule. The film is expected to reflect Bhansali’s trademark large-scale visual style while combining romance, action and a wartime setting. The project is written by Bhansali and Ila Bedi Dutta.
The film brings Bhansali back together with Alia Bhatt after Gangubai Kathiawadi, while also pairing Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in a major production. The three actors are expected to anchor a central dramatic triangle involving two officers and a woman, although the makers have kept several story details under wraps.
The team is also reportedly planning a first-look campaign before Diwali, though an exact date has not been confirmed. The film is expected to release in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, giving the project a wider pan-Indian theatrical footprint.
