Veteran actor Ramarajan and composer Ilaiyaraaja are set to reunite for their 25th film together, Kadavul Thandha Parisu, according to a September 7 report by Cinema Express. The Tamil project will feature Ramarajan in the lead and marks another collaboration between two figures associated with popular rural entertainers of the late 1980s and 1990s.
The film is directed by debutant Kasimayan, who has also written the screenplay. Rajagopal has written the comedy portions and dialogues, while M. Adaikkalam is additionally credited for dialogues. Preparations for filming are under way, and the makers have already begun recording the songs.
Senthil and Kovai Sarala are also expected to join the cast, reuniting with Ramarajan after a considerable gap for the film’s comedy track.
Ramarajan returned to acting after a long break with Medhai in 2012 and later appeared in Saamaniyan in 2024. Kadavul Thandha Parisu will add another title to the actor’s post-comeback filmography while extending his long creative association with Ilaiyaraaja.
With music recording already under way, the reunion gives the film a built-in nostalgic appeal. The project’s next major update is likely to be its shooting schedule and further cast details.
